F-Zero Farukon Densetsu (Anime) (1)
All content on this page pertains only to the F-Zero Legend of Falcon anime and its related content, which all take place in a separate universe unrelated to Mainverse F-Zero. Names and some elements are only borrowed, but are not the same characters, locations, timeline, etc as Mainverse.

F-Zero Farukon Densetsu (F-ZERO ファルコン伝説) or F-Zero Legend of Falcon, (F-Zero GP Legend in the English Dub), was an anime consisting of 51 episodes from 2003-2004.

It aired on Tokyo TV in Japan,[1] but its English adaption would be handled by the Foxbox (later 4Kids Entertainment) for a North American airing. However, the English Dub did not last beyond 15 episodes, all of which can be found online.

Due to heavy misinformation and confusion amongst the F-Zero community and those outside of it, many people have assumed the anime and its related content (games such as F-Zero GP Legend, F-Zero Climax, manga, and more) were connected to F-Zero's Main Universe. They actually are completely different universes with their own respective lore and timelines, as well as character identities and incarnations. The Anime Universe also has its own set of original characters.

Plot[]

Ryu Suzaku (Rick Wheeler in the 4Kids English Dub) is a former F1 racer and New York police detective that awakens in the year 2201, 150 years after an accident involving his pursuit of a criminal named Zoda. Ryu was revived by the talented Dr. Stewart, and soon integrated into a special police division called the Elite Mobile Task Force, under the command of former Galaxy Police officer Jody Summer. Ryu quickly learns that the New York he once knew is now called Mute City, and that new responsibilities and challenges await him as a Task Force member and F-Zero pilot.

Trivia[]

  • According to Lost Media Wiki, there was an intended 16th episode of the English Dub, titled "Super Scam."[2] It was intended to air on March 12th, 2005,[2] but was apparently on hold instead for the second airing of another show on the network, Sonic X.[2]
  • According to David Wills, the voice actor for Captain Falcon (Andy Summer) in the English Dub of the anime, there were actually supposed to be 36 more fully dubbed episodes, all the way up to Lap 51's infamous Falcon Punch scene. Although the first 15 dubbed episodes can be found online as of 2022, the rest of the series remains lost.[3]
