Friday, October 4, 1985 Austin American-Statesman B9 Deaths and funerals 11:00 AM, Saturday in the Colonial Warczak, Jr. of Evansville, Indiana; M.E. (Milton) Cain M.E. (Milton) Cain, age 63, of died Wednesday. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Cain, Dale; sons, Rudy Cain, Austin, Martin Cain, Dale; daughter, Nora Ball, Austin; stepdaughters, Sharon Perry, Dale, Beverly Menke, Arkansas; five sisters; two brothers; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Services 2:00 PM, Sunday, WeedCorley Funeral Home. Burial, Masonic Cemetery in Austin. Arrangements by Weed-Corley Funeral Home. J. Fenton Doss J.

Fenton Doss, age 80, passed away yesterday at a local hospital. He was a member of Crestview Methodist Church, a Mason and member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and active in the Austin Seniors' Golf Association. A native of Tennessee, Mr. Doss, moved to Austin in 1973, after retiring as a vice president of the National Bank of Commerce of Memphis. He was very active in church and civic activities while in Memphis.

In addition to being a past manager of the Character Builder Bible Class, the largest non non-denominational bible class in the city, Mr. Doss was a honorary life member of the Memphis Chamber of Commerce, past president and board director of the Memphis Boys Town, past director of the Better Business Bureau and past president and director of the Sertoma Club. He is survived by his wife, Catherine; son and duaghter-in-law, Tom and Joann Doss; and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Catherine, all of Austin; and one niece, Mrs. Bettye D. Barbarick of Denver, Colorado.

35 Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday at the Cook-Walden Funeral Home with Pastor Homer Weimer officiating. Interment will be in Capital Memorial Gardens. Ethel Mae Ervin Ethel Mae Ervin, age 64, passed away Sunday. Services will be held Saturday, October 5, 1985, at 11:00 AM from Black's Memorial Baptist Church, with Reverend Alvin Patton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Hill Park Cemetery.

Her survivors include her husband, Odell Ervin; one daughter, Vernell Ervin Crozier; two grandchildren, DeCandice and Chad, both of Austin; three sisters, Edna Simpson and Mary McBride, both of Austin, and Rosa Ramson of Taylor; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Eloise Sophia Kreisle Gatewood Eloise Sophia Kreisle Gatewood, 88, a third generation member of the Kreisle family in Austin since the 1870's, died the morning of September 29, 1985, after an extended illness. Mrs. Gatewood was born at the family home on East 4th Street in Austin, on June 12, 1897, the fifth child of Lottie S.

and Louis H. Kreisle. She attended Palm School (10th Ward School), Austin High School, the University of Texas (Austin), and the Gregg School of Business (Chicago, Illinois). She taught shorthand at the Masonic Home in Ft. Worth, and music at Palm School prior to her marriage on JUne 21, 1923, to William S.

Gatewood. Together they established the Texas Book Store and other business in Austin, and Gatewood's Book Store in Milwakee, Wisconsin, serving the university communities for several decades. They generously assisted many over this period of time, and continued to do so after their retirement. Mrs. Gatewood and her husband were among the original founders of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, having provided the land and additional funds for the church.

was active in numerous Austin organizations, including the Austin Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her four brothers and sisters, -Dr. Matthew F. Kreisle, Edwin C. Kreisle, La Trelle K.

Thompson, and Laila K. Werkenthin. In addition to her husband, she is survived by the following nieces and nephews, LaTrelle T. Berkman, Dr. James E.

Kriesle, Dr. Leonardt F. Kriesle, and Dr. Matthew F. Kriesle, Gatewood Newberry, Jack D.

Newberry, and Margaret K. Straw, all of Austin, Hortense N. Carter of Borger, Thomas K. Newberry of Childress, and Willard D. Newberry of North Platte, Nebraska.

She is also survived by a number of grand-nieces and nephews, and their children. Services to be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 5, 1985, at WeedCorley Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Cutting officiating. Burial to follow at Austin Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Dr. James E.

Harrell Ellonia S. Harrell, age 84, died Monday, September 30, 1985. She was preceded in death by two sons, Allen Leon Harrell, Jr. and Willie Gene Harrell. Survivors include her husband, Allen Harrell, daughter, Charles Etta Harrell; grandchildren, Bobby Harrell, Sr.

and wife, Bettie, Donald Ray Harrell, Doris Burton and husband, Larry, Shirley Temesgen and husband, Alemu; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three sisters; and three brothers; three sisters-inlaw; many realtives nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
